User Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your personal data from PumAI, including any data we received from Meta Platforms (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram) or WhatsApp when you connected those channels to your PumAI account.

1. What we delete on request

  • Your PumAI account (name, email, hashed password, profile data).
  • Your business profile, agents, knowledge base and channel configuration.
  • All conversations, messages and attachments processed by PumAI.
  • OAuth tokens and credentials issued by Meta, Whapi or Google for your account.
  • Page IDs, Instagram account IDs and external contact identifiers stored in our database.
  • Application logs that reference your account or business.

Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by Australian tax law. After that retention period they are also deleted.

2. How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your data using any of the following methods:

  1. From the dashboard — sign in at pumai.com.au/dashboard/settingsand use the "Delete account" option.
  2. By email — send a request to privacy@pumai.com.aufrom the email address registered with your account. Include the subject line "Data deletion request" and, if applicable, the Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number connected to PumAI.
  3. Disconnect the integration— you can revoke PumAI's access to your Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp account at any time from the corresponding platform's app settings. Once revoked, the channel will stop receiving messages and the associated tokens stored in PumAI become unusable.

3. Timeline

  • We acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days.
  • Personal data and conversation data are deleted within 30 days of confirmation.
  • Backups are rotated within 90 days, after which deleted data is no longer recoverable.

4. Meta-specific deletion (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram)

If you only want to remove the data PumAI received via Meta (without deleting your full PumAI account), you can:

  • Remove the PumAI app from your Facebook account at Settings → Business Integrations. Meta will notify us and we will delete the associated tokens, Page IDs and message history within 30 days.
  • Email privacy@pumai.com.auwith the subject "Meta data deletion" and the Page or Instagram account you want removed.

5. WhatsApp-specific deletion

WhatsApp integration runs through Whapi. To delete WhatsApp data, disconnect the channel from your PumAI dashboard or email privacy@pumai.com.au. We delete the session token and message history within 30 days.

6. Confirmation and tracking

Each deletion request is assigned a confirmation code. Email requests receive the code in our acknowledgement reply. You can use that code to check the status of your request by replying to the same email thread.
